1966 Triumph TT Special
Sold 07/14/2011
I have for sale a 1966 Triumph TT Special with
matching numbers. The bike is complete and fully restored. The motor was
professionally rebuilt to factory specs with 11 to 1 hepolite pistons ,
black diamond valves and bronze guides. The cylinders did not need to be
bored so they were honed and the new hepolites and rings were installed.
New bearings throughout the motor . There are no pictures because the
bike is undergoing reassembly at this point but all the hard work has
been done and the big dollars have been spent. All parts that were
replaced were done so using good stuff from England and not offshore
junk.
Norman Hyde gaskets , Aluminum fenders , Pistons and rings , Frame powdercoated , New Barnet clutch and brake cables , New Seat , New
Buchannon rims and spokes , New handle bars , New Dunlop tires , New
Boyer Bransdon micro power digital ignition system , New TT wiring
harness , If you want the original nuts and bolts , I have them but I
will be installing stainless as my personal choice for assembly. I have
the TT carbs but will be installing MK 11 carbs with a pair of custom
manifolds that I had made for the motor.
So much more to talk about but you can buy it before I fully reassemle
it or you can wait till the job is done and pay more. I dont seem to
have enough time and I am having other interests. I will give you a
better deal this way but be realistic , I am not giving this rare piece
away. They made 1124 TTs in 66, and your guess is as good as mine on how
many are
left .
