1965 BSA Lightning Clubman Chopped

No Longer For Sale 02/24/2012

THIS IS A TRUE BARN FIND, STORED FOR ALMOST THIRTY YEARS. CASE NUMBERS ARE OF A 67 THUNDERBOLT LOWER END. THEN I FOUND THE FRAME VIN NUMBERS *A65LC* THIS WAS A 200 MODEL RUN LIGHTNING CLUBMAN CHOPPED. HORRID AS IT WAS THIS BYKE IS A PERFECT CANDIDATE FOR THE ULTIMATE RESTORE.

I HAVE SET A PAIR OF CONCENTRIC CARBS ON IT TO PRE FIRE IT. ORIGINAL CARBS WERE MONOBLOCK BUT IT ONLY HAD ONE. THE COMPRESSION APPEARS GREAT. THE ENGINE IS NOT DAMAGED EXTERNALLY, (NO BROKEN FINS, NO HOLES, SCRATCHES ECT...) THE BYKE WAS IN A TRAILER OVER 25 YEARS AND THE LATE OWNER IS RESTING IN PEACE (NOT FROM MC).

THE CHOPPER WAS CREATED BY SAKS IN DENVER, THEY SIGNED IT. THIS BYKE DID NOT START AFTER CARBS WERE SET ON IT, NO SPARK. THEN I FOUND WHY THEY PARKED IT IN THE HARNESS.

WIRES BURNED AND TAPED AND REROUTED VIA HEADLIGHT SWITCH AND BYPASSING IGN SWITCH. I SHOULD HAVE IT WORKED OUT TODAY. THERE IS NO TITLE FOR OBVIOUS REASON, OWNER DIED BUT THE BILL OF SALE STATES STORAGE SALE AND THE NAME OF WHO OWNED. PLATE LAST TAGGED 1983. IF SPARK RESTORED THIS BYKE CAN BE RIDDEN TODAY. ONLY BROKE PIECE IS MIRROR AND TAIL LIGHT AND BOTH AFTER MARKET.

ASKING PRICE IS AS IS AND $ 3500 FIRM NO TITLE, STORAGE BILL OF SALE. REWORK REAR END AND SWINGARM AND RESTORE A TRUE CLUBMAN. OR RIDE CHOPPED.
